Drew holds a BFA from Shenandoah Conservatory, along with an acting certification from the Moscow Art Theatre, and a certificate from the True Acting Institute, where he studied under Meisner protégé Larry Silverberg. His training is rooted in rigorous technique and practical application, after deeply studying Meisner, Stella Adler, Uta Hagen, Stanislavsky, Chekhov, Practical Aesthetics, Gister, Loughlin, Strasberg, Guskin, Chubbuck, and the work of Gerald Freedman.
Throughout his career, Drew has trained under master teachers who privately coach some of today’s most respected actors, including Amy Adams, Andrew Garfield, Sam Rockwell, Emma Roberts, Ewan McGregor, Lily James, Jodie Whittaker, Damian Lewis, Daniel Craig, Phillip Seymour Hoffman, Leonardo DiCaprio, Sally Field, and Michelle Williams.
As a performer, Drew starred as Michael Dorsey / Dorothy Michaels on the 1st Broadway National Tour of Tootsie, for over 500 performances across the country. Most recently, he originated the role of Johnny Dawson in the new musical Rolling Thunder Off-Broadway at New World Stages.
During his later years at Shenandoah Conservatory, Drew co-taught freshman acting alongside the Head of Acting, beginning what would become a natural evolution into coaching and mentorship. As a private coach, he has helped actors navigate callbacks for Broadway productions, national tours, regional theaters, and television series.
At The Rehearsal Room, Drew’s focus is simple: build actors who are ready. Ready for the audition. Ready for rehearsal. Ready for the moment when opportunity meets preparation. But more importantly build actors whose work is rooted in joy. His work emphasizes freedom over perfection, imagination over imitation, and rehearsal as a playground for joyful exploration.
The Rehearsal Room exists to help actors train like athletes: consistently, courageously, and with joy that holds under pressure.
